Note:These pages make extensive use of the latest XHTML and CSS Standards. They ought to look great in any standards-compliant modern browser. Unfortunately, they will probably look horrible in older browsers, like Netscape 4.x and IE 4.x. Moreover, many posts use MathML, which is, currently only supported in Mozilla. My best suggestion (and you will thank me when surfing an ever-increasing number of sites on the web which have been crafted to use the new standards) is to upgrade to the latest version of your browser. If that's not possible, consider moving to the Standards-compliant and open-source Mozilla browser.

Re: The 50 Best Physics Blogs

My favorite site is an old but they had a recent update.

SNU Groups provided an update about the science of corrosion. They went on a slight tangent about pumps and air conditioning and are suppose to provide data on the cost to society for repair and replacing metal for heat exchangers for air conditioning repair and the newest developments in HVAC. A section will be added about corrosion developments in the automobile industry also. But this page appears to be devoted to linking fundamental science to changes in lifestyle and things used in homes such as AC.

For some reason I just like the older websites. All of the newer SNU websites for each laboratory are just as interesting and I wish they would publish a directory.

I really cannot say if their are 50 best blogs out there. It depends on the reader. I like the lively amateur scientist blogs such as lasvegasac.wordpress.com. I imagine if an air conditioning/mechanical engineer can see the connection between science and everyday life, every scientist should have their own lively blog and make science more interesting to everyone.

Hello, your blog list helped me a lot. This list is really worth reading for those who are into the same field. I am into science field. The London International Youth Science Forum (LIYSF) is a residential science enrichment programme for students at Imperial College London. The annual two-week programme attracts 500 students from 70 countries aged, 16-21 years old and includes lectures from leading scientists, visits to world-class laboratories, and universities combined with cultural interaction.
